چکیده
Abstract This paper presents a beam theory for analyzing the static response of slightly curved three-layer beams with interlayer slip. Since are supposed to be immovably supported, membrane stresses develop even at moderately large deflections and becomes geometrically nonlinear. The is based on layerwise application Euler–Bernoulli linear elastic constitutive law interlaminar displacements. In three examples, accuracy this shown by comparing results outcomes more complex finite element analysis assuming plane stress state. These examples demonstrate effect small initial deflection nonlinear considered layered structural members.

Response Determination of a Beam with Moderately Large Deflection Under Transverse Dynamic Load Using First Order Shear Deformation Theory
In the presented paper, the governing equations of a vibratory beam with moderately large deflection are derived using the first order shear deformation theory. The beam is homogenous, isotropic and it is subjected to the dynamic transverse and axial loads. The kinematic of the problem is according to the Von-Karman strain-displacement relations and the Hook's law is used as the constitutive eq...

The aim of this paper is to compare the static deflections and stress results of layered and functionally graded composite beams under static load. In the comparison study, the results obtained for a cantilever beam under point load. The Timoshenko beam and the Euler-Bernoulli beam theories are used in the beam model. The energy based Ritz method is used for the solution of the problem and alge...

This paper studies a new approach to analyze the large deflection behavior of prismatic and non-prismatic beams of non-homogenous material under combined load and multiple boundary conditions. The mathematical formulation has been derived which led to a set of six first-order ordinary differential equations. The geometric nonlinearity was solved numerically using the multiple shooting method co...

It is shown that the interaction of an electron beam with polarized electromagnetic wave of laser photons propagating in the same direction in a short interaction region results in significant transversal deflection of the electrons which can be used for production of femtosecond electron and synchrotron radiation beams, for chopping the electron beams and construction of laser oscilloscopes me...
